You will receive beets, broccoli, cabbage, carrots, cranberries, garlic, kale, herbs, leeks, onions, parsnips, potatoes, rutabagas, salad greens, shallots, spinach, sweet potatoes, turnips, winter squash and more.
Can Members Choose their Vegetables?
The average amount of produce received each week is slightly more than half a bushel. This is equivalent to a standard grocery bag. A typical fall share would include the following:
- 3 pounds potatoes
- 8 oz lettuce mix
- 2 leeks
- 1 bunch beets
- 1 pound mushrooms
- 2 pounds rutabaga
- 1 bunch fresh thyme
- 2 acorn squash
How Often is Produce Delivered?
On average, produce grown by us at our Grayslake and Brodhead farms makes up at least ninty percent of the produce in the weekly box. We collaborate with several other local organic farmers in order to help protect our members from crop failure and to create a box that is as varied as possible from week to week.
